The 110-series Mark II debuted in October 2000. The popular Tourer V lineage from the 100-series continued as the iR-V, still powered by Toyota’s renowned 1JZ-GTE turbo inline-six. Power remained a gentleman’s 280 PS with 38.5 kg·m of torque, while refinements like ETCS-i electronic throttle were adopted.
This particular iR-V is a late JZX110 that was dealer-inspected this year. It starts cleanly, idles smoothly, and delivers boost in a linear, confidence-inspiring way. Inside and out, it presents very well with only minor age-related marks.
If you’re after a usable JDM turbo sedan with real character, this example strikes a great balance between originality and sensible upgrades.
Engine
The 1JZ-GTE with VVT-i pulls strongly from low rpm and stays composed to the top end. No abnormal noises; fluids are clean and recent. Turbo response is healthy with stable boost.
Exterior
Pearl White (065) paint retains good depth and gloss. Trim pieces and lenses are clear; small chips and touch-ups consistent with age. Panel gaps are even.
Interior
Original cabin with subtle red accents. Switchgear, HVAC, and audio operate correctly. Seats and wheel show light, honest wear; headliner is clean.
Wheels
Aftermarket alloys are straight and tidy. Tires show even wear with plenty of life remaining.
